Fort Wilderness Campgrounds offer pony rides for kids 2 and up that start at $8.00 for one ride around the ranch. And $12.00 for two laps around the ranch.

What are the Fort Wilderness Trail Rides?
Fort Wilderness Campgrounds is home to many four legged friends and especially caters to the horse variety. Aside from offering pony rides for little kids, older children and adults can also partake in horseback riding. The campgrounds offer a trail ride for beginner and intermediate riders that slowly walk riders around the park.

Rides can be found at the Tri-Circle-D-Ranch towards the back of the campgrounds.

There is a sandy enclosed path that circles around the Tri-Circle-D-Ranch. The path allows you to walk around between other small ponies and gives you a look around the ranch. The path is always within view of the ranch hand so you always have help within reach.
How long do the pony rides last?
The rides can last for as fast or as slow as you’d like. Parents lead their own children around the path. But mostly it probably takes about 10 minutes to walk the loop.
Do you need to make reservations?
No reservations needed for the Pony Rides. Just walk up and asked for a ride. They’re open from 10 am – 4:30 pm.
Is there weight limit or age limit or any other restrictions for pony rides?
Their is an 80 lb weight limit for pony rides around the Tri-Circle-D-Ranch. Children must be 2 years old and at least 48 inches tall. Children must be able to hold on by themselves and are walked around the ranch by their parents. Helmets are provided by the resort and mandatory for all riders.
