What are the Fort Wilderness Trail Rides?

Fort Wilderness Campgrounds is home to many four legged friends and especially caters to the horse variety. Aside from offering pony rides for little kids, older children and adults can also partake in horseback riding. The campgrounds offer a trail ride for beginner and intermediate riders that slowly walk riders around the trail.

Where do you find the rides?

Rides can be found at the Tri-Circle-D-Ranch towards the back of the campgrounds.

How long do the Trail Rides last?

Its a 45 minutes ride around the resorts wilderness trails that allow you to view more of the campgrounds and some wildlife.

Do you need to make reservations?

You must make reservations for the Trail Rides. The earliest you can register is 90 days before your visit.

What are the age, height and weight limits?

You must be 9 years old, 48 inches tall and weigh less than 250 lbs. Helmets are provided by the resort and mandatory for all riders.

Also plan to wear long pants and closed toes shoes for the trail rides.
